Velvet
Sky Flies Higher
Velvet Sky’s inaugural flight departed from
OR Tambo on 22 March 2011 on the Johannesburg/Durban
route, with the Johannesburg/Cape Town route following
on March 24th. After a couple months in the skies,
the airline achieved a reliability factor of over
99%. Now Velvet Sky is the proud owners of another
plan and has added on extra flights. |

Teachers
with Heart
A team of Hawaii USA based volunteer teachers,
conducts workshops with “senior phase”
colleagues from the Eastern Cape Education Department.
The workshops, now in the 11th year, are designed
to demonstrate innovative techniques and methodologies
for teaching math’s and science to large
classes, using readily available materials. |
